Attorney Garlinck Dumont

In 2014, Attorney Dumont opened the doors of her general practice law firm to provide stellar legal services while building personal relationships with clients, colleagues and the legal community. Attorney Dumont is currently licensed to practice law in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. Her current areas of practice include divorce, child custody and visitation; criminal defense; and probate matters including estate planning and litigation.

Attorney Dumont is a certified Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) and Attorney for the Minor Child (AMC), having completed a rigorous six-week training program structured by the State of Connecticut. Attorney Dumont is also a trained Mediator following a five-week training. These additional trainings and certifications allow Attorney Dumont to provide a unique approach to your case. While skills such as mediation and negotiation are a strong part of her practice, Attorney Dumont is also a fierce and passionate litigator with a strong record in the courtroom.

Attorney Dumont is also involved in the legal community having served as the President of the George W. Crawford Black Bar Association, chair of the Membership Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association, chair of the Women in the Law section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and member of the Children’s Law Center Gala Committee for several years. She further serves the public as a Pro Bono Attorney for the Connecticut Women’s Education and Legal Fund., a legal aid and referral services program.
